Essentials

Essentials is an in-depth, classroom-style Bible course designed for believers who want to go deeper in their understanding of Scripture and doctrine. This isn’t surface-level teaching—it’s a space to strengthen your foundation, ask real questions, and grow in theological clarity.

At Living Faith, we’ve always believed that following Jesus doesn’t stop at salvation—it’s a lifelong journey of growth, depth, and maturity. Many of you have gone through the Purple Book mentorship program, you’ve joined groups, you’ve served faithfully… and for some, you’ve been asking, “What’s next for me spiritually?”

Living Faith Church is not just seeking to build inspired believers, or informed Christians. It was the most informed religious group that Jesus rebuked in Matthew 16

You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. Matthew 16:3 NIV

We are pursuing Revival! Throughout history, every major revival has begun with emphasis on doctrine, most notably, on college campuses.

1802 Yale College campus revival, 1806 Williams College campus (haystack prayer meetings), 1815 Princeton University revival, 1830 Oberlin revival – connected with Charles Finney

More recently we could be reminded of:

1905, 1970 and 2023 Asbury University revivals, 1945 Baylor University revival, 1995 Wheaton College revival; 1973, 1989, 1995, 2010, 2022 Lee University Revivals

So many more could be added to this list, yet the point is made that when we study doctrine and fill our spirits with the truth of God’s Word, a deep spiritual hunger and renewal is produced within the church.

In 2026, Essentials will focus on core doctrines of the Christian faith, including the Doctrine of Scripture, the Doctrine of God, the Doctrine of Man, and the Doctrine of Sin and Satan. These are the truths that shape how we read the Bible, how we see God, and how we live out our faith.

Essentials is for anyone, who wants to be grounded in their faith, but it is especially for believers who want to be stretched and those who have already completed the Purple Book mentorship program. Whether you’re preparing for leadership or simply hungry for deeper study, this is a place for you.

Here is quick overview of what to expect:

- 6:30 pm - dinner and fellowship

- 7:00 pm - Weekly in-depth teaching

- 8:00 pm - Q & A

- 8:20 pm - Prayer

- 8:30 pm - Dismiss

Essentials will be hosted every other month for 4 weeks each time, beginning in April! We believe it’s going to become a key part of how we grow strong, rooted, and biblically confident as a church.

If you’ve been praying for more depth, more understanding, and more intentional spiritual growth—this is your next step.
